Secondary combustion greatly reduces the energy consumption index of electric furnace

In the process of electric furnace steelmaking with secondary combustion, the molten pool CO cannot be oxidized into CO2, and a certain amount of CO will be produced in the furnace. Secondary combustion further oxidizes CO into CO2, and the heat energy generated is recovered, thus reducing power consumption, greatly improving thermal efficiency, and saving 40-80 kW.h/t. There are two methods of secondary combustion blowing oxygen: blowing oxygen above the slag layer for secondary combustion and blowing oxygen into the slag layer to make C produce secondary combustion before entering the net space of the furnace.
